Our first fever!

You can never be too cautious during a fever! As I had said before about baby P's first set of shots, she did great until midnight, she had a temp of 101! Of course this isn't super high but still very dangerous in infants. Over all baby P did great with her temp being high, she didn't act the least bit different or cry.

I had went to change her and noticed she was hot, so I checked her temp and realized she had a fever. First thing I did was give her some Tylenol and then stripped her down and laid her on my bed. My sheets was cold so I figured this would help a little. Well nothing was changing so I took a cold damp cloth and laid it across her forehead. Surprisingly she was okay with it on her head. I have a Paci that checks her temp for me and she kept that in her mouth so all I had to do was press the bottom to see what her temp was. She kept her fever for a little over two hours, and then it finally broke so I wrapped her in a small blanket until she went to sleep. I also went to bed, because it's like two in the morning and momma is tired from worrying about her of course! Anyways I checked her two hours later and she was back to normal temp and sleeping good!

I would definitely recommend getting a Paci that checks babies temp! This was such a big help checking her temp! I also used the rectal one when the Paci thermometer said her fever had broke just to double check. Luckily, baby P seems to like all the Paci nipples at the moment, so even thought it is different than her regular Paci she still used it great!
